Professional Techniques:
The Identification On
The WPN Used Tokkarng Amulet
The left pic is a used Wat PakNam(WPN) 1st batch Tokkarng amulet. The original surface was damaged due to critical moisture of sweat vapor. Please notice that scattered areas of new (calcium carbonate) crust has formed.

The shallow nature of the Tokkarng amulet plus with the damaged surface cause more difficult to make an identification. Many veteran collectors have failed to identify Tokkarng amulets due to their familiarity to the 1st batch good-conditioned pieces including lacking of experiences on the damaged Tokkarng amulets. To identify such the amulet, we must occupy comprehensive knowledges on the WPN 1st batch and the Tokkarng amulets.

Examination Steps:

1. See general view on the front side and judge whether the Phim is correct or not. There are 10 Phims of the WPN 1st batch amulets. If we have good memory on frame of reference of all 10 Phims, we could judge the Phim of the amulet before us. The above Tokkarng amulet Phim is correct, please read the above caption.

2. Examine thoroughly the amulet surface with 10x magnified lens to analyze the surface texture. Please click the Click Next below for details.
