My experience with wearing amulet began when I was a young lad of 15. On one occasion, a street peddler in a road side lane gave me an amulet after I had volunteered to assist them in a demonstration to show that putting on an amulet can make the human body impervious even to a deadly ‘parang’ (long sword). I wore them but by now I have already forgotten how efficacious the amulet was. But anyway – having come with age, I now realise that ‘parang’ works well with the ‘dual action of hacking and slicing’ and not simply with a single action of chopping. Whether the amulet I had had then worked for me – I really don’t know.

But my point is – that if there were people in the 70’s who resort to such clever ways to drive their sales, more could have done it today since some people these days do have little qualms of selling as genuine a replica amulet for exorbitant prices.

My first memorable first encounter with a real and genuine amulet was a ‘Dhan Chao Kun Nor’s Somdej’ amulet given to me some sixteen years ago by a good old friend, who was acquainted with the high Reverend Dhan Chao Kun Nor of Wat Dhepsirin before his demise in 2514. Up till this present moment, I still treasure the amulet it very much for some very sentimental reasons associated with my old friend and the high reverend even though I do not have the opportunity to pay homage to the great guru in person.

While there is no quantitative or scientific data to conclusively measure the miraculous effect of Dhan Chao Kun Nor’s amulet per se, the many inexplicable encounters I have had - both past and present - have convinced me that the great guru’s consciousness is with any one who have genuine and sincere boundlesss faith in him. Problems which are beyond the comprehension of the human mind are resolved by some unexplained means – a means that seems as easy after the problem was solved as they are so difficult before they are solved. That is always the mystery of an efficacious amulet!!. Dhan Chao Kun Nor came to me at a time when his spiritual guidance is needed most; but the great guru seems without in peacetime. It is an unsolicited gut feeling, feeling of the inner mind, an instinct of the spiritual science of the human heart.
But here, I must make it abundantly clear that I am neither previously connected with Lek Watruak, the owner of the WebPages or am I trying to propagandize Dhan Chao Kun Nor’s amulets.

At least for me, I prefer amulets made by guru monks such as LP Parn of Wat BangNomkho, LP Sod of Wat Pak Nam and LP Chong of Wat NatangNok, whose reputation and life-long spiritual works have withstood the vigorous test of buddhistic time.

Somdej Toh of Wat Rakang, LP Ngeun of Wat Bangklan, LP Sook Wat Makham Thao, LP Niam of Wat Noi, LP Nong of Wat Klong Madan, LP Parn of Wat BangNomkho, LP Sod of Wat Pak Nam, LP Chong of Wat Na TangNak, LP Jad, Acharn Mun, Somdej Phra BuddhaKosacharn (Charoen), LP Doem of Wat Nongpho and LP Jong, are some very notable guru monks, among other great guru monks (which I did not mention) whose spiritual works and reputation will remain so long as the great kingdom of Thailand and her neighboring south, including Singapore, remain.

However, I must profess here that although I do not have the best amulets in the range of ‘Benjaphakee’ or any of its old ‘Somdej Wat Rakang’ equivalent, I am at least assured that I have some authenticated amulets made by some of the greatest guru ever-made amulets. To say in no uncertain terms, I am confident in saying that I am accorded no lesser protection when I put on LP Sod’s third batch amulet or even LP Parn’s amulet, LP Chong’s and Dhan Chao Kun Nor’s amulet, which cost only a small fraction of the price of the higher end amulets, on me. Unless we want to join in the high-end amulet craze – and there is no end, actually- any amulet, properly blessed by a qualified monk who have attained reasonable standard in high Dhamma learning, will offer adequate protection to the average man on the street.

Buddha and his order of disciple monks must have been very mindful not to deprive the poorer people of efficacious amulets.
Having read the various accounts of great works treated by Lek Watruak on the various guru monks of the various era and their great spiritual epithets, I give kudos to Lek Watruak for his generous efforts. His research work on the biography of the various great guru monks - some of whom I am quite acquainted with - and the treatment of his web-pages give a coherent and plausible account of some of the highest spiritual works of Great Guru sage, who made lifelong sacrifices for the benefit of mankind. Most of this information are not known to many Thai people, much less to the people like me in Singapore. Along with many of my friends and colleagues and amulet collectors, I enjoy every of his new posting, which are professionally crafted out and picture clearly resoluted.

Lek Watruak must have taken tremendous painstaking effort at publishing these informative pages. We congratulate his untiring effort and do hope he will continue to provide us with credible untold stories of great guru monks that are so remotely available in Singapore and other part of the world.
May Buddha and Great Guru Sage bless your works.
