Don't Waste The Time
On Day-dream Amulets
My Singaporean friend pointed out that so much people have talked about Somdej Wat Rakang, Bangkhunphrom, Kesjaiyo, etc--but how many persons have actually seen the real correct one as basis to tell the difference.

Something that my friend talked about not only happen in Singapore, but also in Thailand, the original place of the three Somdej amulets.

Two Phra Somdej Books

Right : Phra Somdej BangKhunPhrom, also 500 pages, with 80 color pages
They were published more than 10 years ago and all sold out within 1 month. They have become a root foundation for many later-period Phra Somdej articles and books.

Somdej amulet especially Wat Rakang is an amulet of HOPE. Wat Rakang located at Chao Phraya riverside. From around the year B.E.2400 up, Somdej Phra Phutdhacharn(Toh) distributed his Somdej amulets to boat people who go up- and down- stream the Chao Phraya river, which is the main "road" of the old day Thailand of nearly 150 years ago.

After Somdej Toh passed away in B.E.2415, Chao Khun ThamThavorn (Chuang), a close disciple of Somdej Toh distributed Somdej amulets of about 10 big widemouthed earthen jars to a crowd of people who gathered to join the cremation ceremony. This is why a lot of Somdej Wat Rakang amulets spreaded to both Chao Phraya riverside communities, starting from Bangkok to Nakonsawan Province.

Twenty to thirty years ago, it's a must for amulet hunters going upstream to source and search the Phra Somdej at both riversides in Ayuthaya, Singhburi, Angthong, Chainat and even Nakonsawan. Meanwhile there were some local folks brought down Somdej Wat Rakang and other antique amulets to Bangkok and sold them in the early morning by Wat MahaThat's wall.

At that moment, the Phra Somdej was still a fluky item --not a day dream. But now there are no more Phra Somdej and other amulets waiting for present hunters because they were all hunted and snapped up many years ago.

Even a long time passed by, there are still a lot of Phra Somdej-fevered people. They enjoy talking about and searching the most popular amulet they HAVE NEVER SEEN from the road-side sellers, with a full hope that they will eventually get a bonanza!!

Don't waste the time by talking or searching the day-dream object, but should better going up to the real world and searching amulets that have the same or plus efficacies -- there are so many waiting you to snap up with moderate prices.

Believe it or not, faked Somdej amulets have been produced more than a hundred years ago. Thai amuletic term call " Kae Kao" or the old-time fake ( Kae= fake, Kao = old ). A lot of  Somdej-fevered Thai and Singaporeans are hanging FAKE Somdej amulets.

Look at your own chest and ask how sure you are on the genuineness of your Phra Somdej ?
